rosebullet x Ricky Kwok brings us to a world of flirty pastel chic. Fashion show is filled new surprises and inspirations. The clothes itself projects the concept and mood, while styling completes the story. The collection lead the audiences through different styles which included 50's pastels, nude chic, stripe/polka dot cruise and flirty florals. rosebullet always gave me an impression of cute, sweet and romantic. This time, Ricky worked his magic and styled the collection with versatile styles. I was pretty impressed throughout the show, each model were dolled up in appropriate amount of accessories and looked great!

Marni at H&M hits stores tomorrow!

After sexy sassy Versace here comes modern romantic Marni at H&M. Today, while I was passing by H&M stores there were already fans queuing up for tomorrow's big day. I haven't really done a proper post on my thoughts towards the collection. That's why I want to do a quick post on it, hope its not too too late! What drew my attention from this collection were plastic floral necklaces and signature polka dots prints. The simple cuts with thoughtful prints really projected " Marni" style in a affordable yet classy way. Other than Lanvin, I thought this collection was very well done.

new shop alert: Y-3

Y-3's new concept shop opening on G/F, 56-58Wellington Street, Central. With Y-3 signature black, white and hints of primary colors, the shop was clean and modern with a cool Yohji vibe to it. Along with the grand opening, there was an exhibition of " This is my dream" which is a documentary film about life and create process from Tokyo to New York.

I found the film very inspiring and for those who are not in Hong Kong for the exhibition, you can still watch it here. We all have a dream, to see ones accomplishment it brings us faith and strength. Hope it will inspire you too.

Recapping scenes from the movie " Perfume", while the perfumer was testing out various notes of scent to match the perfect fragrance. Wondering how that works in real life, it was great pleasure to have the opportunity to do a "sniff test" with an expert perfumer " Sophie Labbe". Knowing the different top, heart and dry down notes enriched my knowledge in the development of a fragrance. My addiction scent from this fragrance are the fresh jasmine and creamy texture of panacotta.

Chatting with Sophie, I asked her to give me some professional tips on how to wear the fragrance. There are no certain rules, but for various occasions you check out the tips below.

Tips on wearing fragrance.....

A romantic date/ seeing your love: gently tab the fragrance behind your ears, neckline and wrist ( or maybe in between your cleavage)

Just a hint : Tab the fragrance on your " hot-spot" that means areas that you can feel your pulse. (behind your ears, at the base of your throat, on the inside of your elbows, on your wrists and behind each knee)

Casual Day: You can spray the fragrance in air and walk into it. Or spray it on your clothes.

All day long: It's best to use all products such as bath gel, body lotion and fragrance altogether.

fresh mint blazer

Pale mint skinny jeans didn't really work for me, it made my legs look bloated. To satisfy my craving for pale mints, I went back to my favorite closet essential " blazers". It's surprisingly wonderful how the same style of blazer with a different color can change the mood of the outfit. A black blazer will bring a masculine chic side of you while pale mint delivers a soft and elegant feeling. Layering and playing around with proportions will give the outfit more character. I added hints of polka dots with flare jeans to make it more casual.

Tips: For your layering piece, pick something light. You want it to compliment for key pieces. I personally like the this polka fot skirt because of the spilt sides, its easy to walk in and gives an illusion of free flow.

I can't believe I slept in and totally missed the 84th Annual Academy Awards red carpet moments.

It's okay, thank God for internet and super fast medias posting pictures on their websites.

The reds and whites drew my attention the most this year, comparing with last year's lavenders and shimmers. I have to say my favorite of all is Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford's minimal white gown with the amazing bold cape. Second runner up would be Michelle William in Louis Vuitton 's red coral dress.

Femininity meets masculine chic

Hmm.... In a virtual world of online casino, no one will notice what you will be wearing infront of the computers. So thats a total different story, but I do I wonder what I would wear if I was actually going to a casino. I would definitely drop the cocktail dresses or anything too flashy. Looking through my old references, with some luck, I found an old editorial "Bijoux" from Vogue Paris May 2011 for some inspirations. Looking at the shots, I fancied the styling of the jewelries, crisp edges of white shirts, sleeve-buttons and those elegant bow ties. Anna Selezneva's eyes were filled with confidence and had a demanding yet calm expression. Looking chic will boost up your braveness and its they key to gambling. A women playing blackjack in Tom Ford with dazzling jewelries is certainly a winner in the fashion world!

Tips: Remember to have nice manicures!!! It's so important for females to have nice presentable hands, especially on the gamble table. Everyone's attentions will be on your hands while you are placing your bet.

Looking at screen shots of L'Odyssée de Cartier, I am already curious. L'Odyssée de Cartier, a short film to express the living legend with 160 years of history. The style of the film will tell a story of how Cartier, " King of Jewelers", have always created the most precious pieces with passion and embraced culture from around world.

sleeping is beauty

Waking up in the morning and feeling well rested is a great gift from the sleeping fairies. You are guys are probably wondering why the heck am I writing about this? It comes to my conclusion that no matter how fab your outfit looks with dull and tired skin nothing will look right. How important is sleeping? Sleeping helps to reduce stress, repairs your body, improves memories and occurrence of mood disorders. The number one factor is during your sleep, your body releases melatonin, which has incredibly positive effect on your skin and immune system. Therefore having a peaceful sleep is super important for all fashionistas to look glamourous.
How to start and improve? My mission was to find the right pillow and eye mask for sleeping. I have heard and read many great reviews about TEMPUR's pressure relieving mattress and pillows. Of course I couldn't just change my mattress right away, so I went to find a suitable shape of pillow for my sleeping habit. I personally like to sleep all over the place; sideways, on my tummy or just hugging my pillow.

This sleep mask helps me seal the light out and has a gentle cushion on the eye bag area to reduce puffiness.

My final pick was the Ombracio Pillow! I love how it supports my neck area on the side. The anatomically correct shape feels like I am sinking into a deep deep sleep:) My skin has improved so much by quality of sleep I am having, its no joke and I highly recommend this pillow!

Tips for a good night sleep: Avoid drinking fluids 3 hours before sleeping and make sure no caffeine or sugar is added. Create a relaxed environment before bedtime, I like to mix lavender and Citrus bergamia 100% (organic) pure essential oil on a tissue and put it on the side of my bed. Lastly have a extra pillow or stuffed animal on the side to hug:) ( personally habit)

I am loving the pastel candy colors from Rosebullet's latest collection. I like how they matched the pastel candy colors with hues of browns. It brings out a bit of European style and clashes of sweet Japanese.

Rosebullet is collaborating with Hong Kong celebrity stylist, Ricky Kwok, in their latest Spring Summer collection. With Ricky's professional advice in personalizing the collection and styling it, I can't wait to see the most chic in town! Here are some quick snaps of Ricky Kwok styling with Rosebullet's clothes. How should I say this.... I have noticed Ricky Kwok's work a while ago and has admired his honestly in critiquing ones fashion sense. My first impression on him was very quiet, calm and cool. In the beginning I was super nervous, as we chatted along I realized that he was really down to earth. I felt so inspired by his words and way of thoughts. Thanks so much Ricky and Jane for your time:) Also Felix for organizing the interview for us:)

Interview:

1. Rosebullet is targeted for teenage girls in Japan. Do you think there is a difference between Japanese and Hong Kong girls when it comes to styling?

In my observations I feel that Japanese girls are willing to try and risk various styles. They often dress up and put a lot of effort to it. As for Hong Kong girls, they are more conservative when it comes to mix and match in styling. It seems like they have certain rules and fears to dress bold.

2. Can you please describe what’s your feeling to this brand?

Before styling Rosebullet, I have noticed this brand because of the model “Leana”. She is in almost 90% of the AD Campaigns, which I found very fascinating. The customers’ loyalty and attitude towards Rose Bullet is very unique. People who admire this brand will follow and be alert of new and latest styles.

3. Can you share with us your styling experience with Rosebullet? What were some interesting things that happened?

Initially looking at the clothes on a mannequin, I thought the clothes would be challenging to style with. Since the clothes looked so different when it’s on a real person than a mannequin. Later on, styling the model, it was totally a different story. Also I figured best outcome to bring out the brand's style is layering different pieces together.

4. If you have to style me in rosebullet, what are your picks?

I would use Rosebullet’s scarf and a cardigan to add on to your current style. I think the biggest trend this season, candy colors, from this collection will look great with your denim shirt.

5. What recent fashion show has caught your attention?

A few weeks back I went to Moschino's fashion show in Hong Kong. The theme of the show was food market; the place was decorated like European food markets on the street. What caught my attention were the souvenirs, they were real fruits on display that you can take home. To me, it’s a very creative way to let audience notice how important it is to recycle.

6. Is there any fashion icon in Hong Kong you want to share with us? Or anyone that has never disappointed you with their outfit.

I don’t have a specific fashion icon. Actually whenever I travel to Europe or different places I see a lot of well-dressed girls on the street and I find them more amusing.

I like people to like to mix and match with new and vintage instead of head to toe brand items.

7. How did you start being a celebrity stylist? Any tips on how to become one?

During my high school years, it was pretty obvious my interest was Arts and Design. I still remember the first time I shopped for my mother’s closet and styled her. The fulfilling feeling I had was indescribable and from that day onwards I wanted to make women look stylish and fashionable. So I worked my way up in becoming a fashion stylist I am now. Always learn from every single thing that is happening around you. Don’t doubt yourself or let others step over you, Have expectations to what you do, as a stylist you should have your point of view.

8 . How do you find inspiration? Also any cool books or website you can recommend us?

First thing in the morning, these websites are like newspaper to me and it’s a must read for stylists.

Last night in LA, A-list celebs attended the launch party of Marni at H&M. Special guests included Drew Barrymore, Winona Ryder and Milla Jovovich. The event was hosted by Marni’s Founder and Creative Director, Consuelo Castiglioni, the Director of the Marni at H&M campaign, Sofia Coppola and Margareta van den Bosch, H&M´s Creative Advisor.

Lane Crawford invites Manolo Blahnik to Hong Kong. From now to the 19th, the atrium of Lane Crawford IC mall will be transformed into Manolo's personal world in an artistic display. The exhibition will showcase his personal objects, inspiration pieces and archive collections. The most exciting part for me is able to see the 10 featured styles of selected vintage Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Swarovski SS12 " Swing, Sing & Shine" Collection

Swarovski launched their Spring Summer 2012 Collection last week at the French Window.

As I walk towards the venue I saw soft pastel shades of light shinning through the massive doors. The room was filled 60's vibe with bright ballons, florals and circle prints. "Sweet Sixties" and " In the Spotlight" were the 2 main themes for this collection.

The "Sweet Sixties" collection blended modern and vintage tones, soft lilac silk ribbons, round purple crystal stones and series of floral design. The design inspiration came from magnified details of flowers blooming. The pearls and ribbions gave the collection touches of elegances with fun. " In the Spotlight" collection design was inspired by centre of attention. Imagine yourself preforming of the stage and the spotlight hits you. For sure you will be dazzling and everyone's eyes will be on you. The avant-garde sixties design with neat lines and the ingenious mosaics designs took my breathe away.

Really like this ring... its so modern and elegant. I like how the small crystals are arranged on the side, creating a fine mosaic pattern.

The fashion show had 60's catchy tunes such as Sugar Sugar! The models dressed in pastel and nude colors which complimented the jewelries. It was like the fun side of Audrey Hupbern.

After the fashion show, we had a chance to make our own cupcakes. Haven't done something girlie and fun for a while!

FENDI SS2012 fashionable science class

FENDI reinvents science teacher in a witty and exciting way. This year FENDI's SS 2012 press day took place at The Space gallery. The Space gallery is like the IT place for press day this year, majority of the brands showcased their collection in simple decorations . Why I am saying this? I want to emphasis how FENDI has totally turned the place upside down into 3 magical atmosphere for this collection.

First stop is the school entrance black board..

As I was so anxious to enter the black FENDI doors to see what was going on behind it. I patiently waited and watched a short video about the collection. It talked about how Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by 50's famous architects Gio Ponti and Carlo Mollino. Lagerfeld recreates the architectural structures and applies it to the SS12 designs of clothes and shoes.

Second stop, behind the black FENDI doors was a chic design of science laboratory fashion runway.

The show started off with light spring crispy dress, some had creative cut outs with 50's playfulness then gradually to exquisite luxury evening wear. A diverse of materials clashed together to invent another dimension to the collection. The material included chiffon, layers of gauze, sheer fabrics, high class fur and embroiders.

Last stop, at FENDI's backyard tea party. After enjoying a wonderful first row fashion show, I had a delicious afternoon tea.

Some hate, some love and I belong to the love category. February 14^th is the day to share our feelings of affection to others. It does not have to be your boyfriend or girlfriend. Yes, I missed out another private preview.. very depressing huh? As usual I have been missing out tons and tons of events this month. Trying to take my mind off the outdoor street carnival experience featuring live music performance, customized goodies and the chance to meet Paco Rabanne ( creative director Manish Arora) organized by JOYCE. Thanks to JOYCE for sending me some insider's trend report so I can still share it with my readers:) And start getting ready for SS 2012!

For the ladies:

Body Conscious
Time to head back to the gym and work out for your new sexy body. This spring, designers have form-hugging designs to show off women's curve silhouettes. Mugler's neutral tones of beige is defiantly a challenge.
Tips: If you are not confident in such tight dresses then throw on a long scarf on top to give a bit of distraction to your whole body.

Jacquard, Brocade and Prints
Bring your outfit to life this Spring with vibrant colors, prints and textures. My favorite print from the runway is Rodarte's inspiration in the natural world of Van Gough's painterly sunflowers. Textured like fabrics printed on garments will add a new dimension.
Tips: Don't go too crazy with patterns and prints. If you want to stick to a simple chic outfit use only 1 -2 prints, for example a printed blazer with solid top and bottom.

Peplums
A trend to create new feminine shapes. The sculpted folds transform top and dresses into architectural masterpieces. It gives female a defined waistline and create great proportion to the body.
Tips: To add a bit more styling to your outfit, try a thick or thin belt. It will make your outfit look more 50s.

Yellow and Electric Blue
Yellow and Electric blue stand out the most this season. The two primary colors will look fab no matter they stick together or stay apart. We can see Stella McCartney's rich shades of azure blue and Vionnet's yellow statement dress are truly modern and elegant. Mary Katrantzou's mixed blues and yellows pops out adventurous.
Tips: Yellow is more suitable for tanned and warm skin tones while blue looks great on pale skin tones. Remember to find the shade of yellow or blue to complement your skin tone instead of making you look tired and dull.

3.1 Phillip Lim SS 2012 works with geometry+athleticism

Miserably facing infront of the computer monitor all day at work, I have managed to schedule myself to attend 3.1 Phillip Lim SS 2012 collection presentation at their new store in Harbour city. The limon, shell pinks, lilacs, faded orange and soft black colors that have faded in the sun was my aid of refreshment. SS2012 collection concentrated on the freedom and fragility of kites, it also included fascinating functional pieces that made garments more than just wearable but accessorial. Phillip wanted to use simple shapes and movements from kites while it was lifted by breeze of the wind. There was also a balance between lightness, ease, weight and shape to create the centre piece of every look. The structure of garments were sophisticated yet youthful at the same time. I personally really liked the simple clean cuts of the vest and jackets ( inspired by the edges of kites).

Yes, I am talking about Forever 21! Last week, I found my new best friend in Capitol Center at 5-19 Jardine's Bazaar, Causeway Bay. Why do I say it's my new best friend? Because Forever 21 is open for business, daily from 10 am to 1 am. Pretty amazing huh? I can't wait until all 6 floors are opened in Spring time!

I entered the shop with high ceilings of chandeliers.

These are def keepers with great deals!! only $79 hkd, I am afraid the local stores on the side street are getting kicked out!

Too crowded:( I wasn't able to shop while I was doing the store tour.

The accessories are extremely HOT! There were just a few styles( that I already fell in love with), but I cannot imagine how much I will buy when all the floors are opened with more shoes, accessories, bags and cosmetics.

If you haven't noticed, I am obsessed with minty colors. Instead of tasting the mint, I prefer styling it with my clothes and accessories. Initially in a collection, I look for colors that catches my attention. I am totally drawn by the pastels and warm palette that was inspired by California Coastline breeze in Club Monaco's SS12 clothes. Throughout the SS collection there is a vintage west coast boho vibe. The key pieces include maxi skirts in crinkled silks, peasant tunics and gauzy cotton. There are also stripes, vest, cropped jackets, flare trousers, paisley scarf prints and classic peacoats and trenches. This collection will give the ladies a wardrobe of feminine proportions and mixed fabrics.

What's next? A new year a new positive start. Life is like translucent steps, you never know what's infront of you till you find out. The only way is to walk step by step and explore your own path, some people take bigs ones and some take baby ones.

Sheer maxi dresses has become one of my archives for my closet. It's soooo sexy and suitable to non super skinny model legs people. The translucent illusion gives different dimension of shadows to your legs to create a slimmer figure.

Tips on long sheer maxis: If you are not comfortable revealing too much of your legs, try a darker sheer. Also make sure the chiffon light enough to a flow movement .

Burberry Prorsum SS 2012 brings" beads, weaves, parkas and prints"

Christopher Bailey latest collection was indulging ethnic exotica handcrafts : crochet, beading, carving, weaving, braiding and printing on Burberry's signature coats. The collection brought different silhouettes of trench coat and parka in various proportions. Outfits paired with full and pencil skirt length that fell right below the knees in a 40s line. The colors of the collection totally inspired by SS2012 closet. I am loving the pale wheat, chrome yellow, bright gold ochre, dark tan, sapphire blue and garnet red.

The collar of the trench coat was decorated with big geometric wooden beads that formed patterns around necklines. A super cool inspiration for a DIY project:)

These were the pieces I fell in love with when I was watching the live fashion show online.

The cropped canopy parka with wooden adjuster toggles and electric print cotton canvas.

I found the slouchy slash neck beaded crochet knit gave a touch of attitude to the jacket. The prints for sure had tribal edges which were inspired by the shapes of the legendary British artist Henry Moore.

The raffla bobble hats and woven wedges platforms were super cute!

In conclusion: Burberry Prorsum's parka has taken the spotlight of the tradition trench coat. It's a must have for the coming season!!!

Leighton Road has been invaded with fashion force! From Jack Wills to the other end of the road, across I.T hysan comes G-STAR RAW 's flagship store in Hong Kong. G-Straw RAWs philosophy has always been " Just the Product". The luxury denim for the streets with raw untreated denim as a wearable and desirable material. After this visit, I had witness the distinctive shapes and 3D thinking of denim in G-Star RAW jeans. Adding on, the brand collaborated with Vincent Gallo, Gemma Arterton and Magnus Carlsen for their latest Ad Campaign.

My first impression of G-STAR RAW was a very cool denim and clothes brand, but after Sarah's introduction I changed my mind. While Sarah was doing a presentation about G-STAR RAW's jeans, surprisingly she was flipping the jeans inside out. I noticed the great amount of detailed stitching and craftsmanship in the jean's interior.

Every stich and curve of the jeans were calculated. The small tags, patches and inner metal jean buttons made each pair of jeans special and unique.

The store had a chill vibe with high tables and stools. It was somewhat like a lifestyle studio x store.

Out of the all beauty of jean washes, I had a treat to pick out my very first pair od G-Star RAW denim.

I had such a fun time picking out my perfect pair with the staff's friendly customer service!

My New Years eve was fantastic!!

Counted down at Armani Prive/Aqua with my girlies and my love was a perfect picture.

All I can remember from last night was lots of drinking, dancing, flash lights and laughing:D

My outfit of the night, I wore a long slim gold metallic skirt with a sequins top and styled it with a skinny gold belt. It was elegant yet sexy:)

I loved Tiffany's color blocking bustier dress with layers of fabric.

Counting down the last few days of 2011 makes me super excited yet nervous.

Why? I am crunching the unfinished "to do" list before New Years. One of my every New Years routine is to reorganize my closet.

Since a clean closet will make getting ready each day easier. It's a treat to get something new for New Years.

I started off with new undergarments, which will automatically make you feel sexy inside out with confidence.

Hope you all enjoyed a grateful xmas and holiday!

This year has been a roller coaster for me. Lots of ups and downs, which has made me grown into a better person. Life maybe stressful, but I am trying my best to find a balance.
Encouraging myself to look forward to a New Year with new goals and hope. My last outfit post for 2011 brings a bit of lux and a bit of class. A faux fur jacket brings out a luxury vibe. Adding a pair of classy rider boots and monogram logo bag will tone it down a bit. I styled it with Versace's bold shades for fun.

Tips on wearing faux fur jacket: Proportion is very important! Don't pick a faux fur jacket that will eat you up. Sometimes people tend to pick over sized fur coats which will make them look clumsy. For petite size, the best length should right above you hips and sleeves should rest on wrist.

This year Printemps Paris has collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld for their Christmas special window display. Karl Lagerfeld and Maison CHANEL invites us to travel around the world.
In eleven windows, we are being toured around the world in 24 hours from LA, London, NY, Byzantium, Paris, Biarritz, Moscow, Venice, SH, Tokyo and Cap d'Antibes.

The 3D giant tableaux staging the symbols of each city is such a clever idea. Mixing it with Maison CHANEL iconic elements that brings viewers a step closer with the brand.
Only wish I was there to witness the grand opening!!!

Last weekend I escaped to Kuala Lumpur to attend Nuffnang's Asia-Pacific Blog Awards.

It's great honor to be one of the finalist for best fashion blog. Special thanks to my readers who have been so supportive and keeping me motivated.

So let's start with this booklet.... inside this booklet there are different bloggers from all over Asia- Pacific. We all gathered to celebrate the hard work and passion we have for blogging.

Having the opportunity to meet various blogger all over Asia-Pacific was a fab experience.

I had goosebumps all over my arms when I saw huge banners with all the finalist including myself.

It's definitely a rewarding feeling.

Outfit of the night was Philip Lim dark turquoise blue gown. Matched with YSL artsy ring and gold belt.

Tips on picking the right gown for yourself: Understand the pros and cons of your body figure and work around it. For my, I have a petite and boyish figure, thats why I picked out something thats not deep V or low cut. Try a ruffled detailed gown on bust area to create an illusion for a fuller figure.

Super happy to meet Yoko ( beauty blogger) and Patricia ( lifestyle blogger) from Hong Kong.

I was introduced to Rachel K Mineral Color Control cream last month. We are familiar with Korean BB cream, but what is CC cream? Mineral CC cream includes SPF which protects UVA and it's deeply moisturizing with nutritive ingredients. CC cream blends treats and covers uneven skin tones. It blends better than BB Creams. The CC cream has beneficial ingredients such as white tea extract, green tea leaf extract, deep sea water, macadamia nut oil, vitamin E and epidermal growth facto.

I have been using it for more than 2 weeks now,my boyfriend and friends have been complimenting my smooth and even skin tone. My fav part is my skin is less oily and the press powder holds my makeup throughout the day. That's why I want to let you guys know about it too. Finally, I got to see the real thing!!! High ceiling tops with sparkly chandeliers and white staircases, oh my! did I just land in a episode of gossip girl? The store was full of surprises and unexpected visual displays that projected the brand's identity, which I found quite interesting. Tables filled with all sorts of goodies from beauty products, stationaries, lifestyle items to fab clothes.

Jack Wills is def on my Christmas present must shop list for friends and family:)

H&M SS 2012 preview adds bright and vibrant to my winter.

Don't we all need some energy boost these days? I have been so tired and lazy for the past week from the weather change.

In this collection, you can see mixed of romantic femininity elegance and modern tailoring. These styles can be pieces to create an individual looks with you very own attitude.

The key colors for this collection are white and fresh fruit colors, such as banana yellow, orange, green apple and soft touches of apricot and blues. For the garments, key elements are white suits, jersey tanks, leather sleeveless jacket, wrap dresses and draped kimono jackets.

Shear boots for winter time!!

I teamed up with Lacoste this month to pick an item I like from their winter collection to work it with my outfit. This time I wanted to try something new! So I picked these functional shear boots.

How to wear Lacoste shear boots?

The boots are a bit bulky, so it's better to wear something slim cut, such as leggings or skinny jeans. To make the outfit more cohesive, try on a more edgy jacket, here I wore a leather jacket.

Also you can wear these shear boots as high ankle boots or low ankle ones. I wore mine as low ankle, since it will make my legs look longer:P

What's more better to accessorize gorgeous evening wears with breathe taking jewerlies? S.Nine collaborated with fine jewelry designer brand, Karen Collection to bring out an luxurious glam vibe of both collections.

I am deeply in love with this cut out chiffon dress from Versace for H&M.
So I thought it would be interesting to style this dress with 3 different looks:)

1) Casual date look, style it with floral jacket and straw flats. An effortless look for a shopping date, brunch or movie date with boyfriend. Just remember to throw on any single color flats, sneakers or loafers. Try to avoid patterned shoes since it will distract the floral jacket.

2) A sexy glamours evening look. Pop on a simple fur vest, it can bring out a luxurious feeling to your total look. The detailed buckles of this fur vest can define your waistline and body proportion. This look is great for a girls night out. Imagine yourself as one of the character in Sex and the City.

Two more days until Versace for H&M hits stores.
It's nice to have a sneak peak of the garments and accessories before making purchases. This post will bring you all a closer look at the different accessories.
I picked out a few items that shows a classy and fun side from the accessories collection.
I have seem a few post from other blogs with the classic gold ring and bracelets, thought it would be cool to show alternative styles:)

1) This is my favorite from the accessories line! An iconic gold motif Versace chain choker.It shouts statement and vintage.
Tips: Wear something with a clean neckline and avoid dangly earrings. For winter time try it with a turtle neck.

2) Golden floral leather strap chokers
Tips: This one is a bit tricky, I prefer to wear it with a sleek ponytail.

3) Floral cocktail rings
Tips: I like to wear two rings on a finger or try to layer it with gold rings on the same finger.

4) Printed silk scarf
Tips: Try to tie a cute knot or bow with a plain shirt. Sometimes it tricky with prints, try to make it the center piece of the outfit.

While I started to write this post, I wanted to listen Shontelle's " T-shirt" song.

"Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos" hm.... After looking at Jimmy Choo Unveils Icons Exhibition at Watermark, I don't think I would ever get sick of Jimmy Choos!

This exhibition included the 15 most significant shoes from the company's archives along with capsule collection" ICONS". A film by Marcus Werner was projected on the walls at the exhibition which made the exhibition with rich visual landscape.

An accompanying iPad presentation features original sketches, celebrity images, editorial images and selects from memorable Jimmy Choo ADs.

London show rooms at The Space

Vouge China has hosted an afternoon tea celebrating the British Fashion Council's London Show Rooms presentation in Hong Kong. The event showcased SS 2012 collection from rising starts of British fashion designers. The best part was meeting the designers and talking to them about their collection one on one. For this post, I have picked a few designers that catch my attention and want to share it with you all!

Here are the designers: E.Tauz, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, Marios Schwab, Mary Katrantzou, Nicholas Kirkwood, Peter Pilotto, Roskanda Ilincic and Todd Lynn

Nicholas Kirkwood's shoes collection are like candies, they are simply all girls fantasy.

Roksanda Ilincic's color palette for SS2012 collection was very 60's with pops of flirty colors. I am absolutely in love the cute elbow cuffs and the whole long silhouettes. Also the orange statement necklace is super cool!!

Peter Pilotto's strong feeling of excitement prints were absolutely gorgeous. Although I am not a big fan of prints but the SS12 collection sure gave me an energetic voyage to another world of prints. I bumped into a model friend Gao Ying, she looks super fierce in one of the electric neon vibe dress.

Marios Schwab's concept of contrast between positive and negative space accessories were very interesting. At first I didn't really get the whole idea, I thought it was just an inspiration of fishnets. After watching this video I sorta got the whole idea of shadow space. I wish I can show you guys but he video is not out yet.

Online shopping has become a my new platform for treasure hunting.

I was introduced to Novelty Lane Shop which connects independent boutiques and alternative brands all over Asia. The online shop offers a variety of new local designer designs along with vintage goods. The shop has owned 21 local fashion labels, each of them has it's own characters.

To celebrate the launch of Novelty Lane Online Shop , I have picked Karen Walker Tortoise Frame Sunglasses from Mido Eyeglasses and came up with an outfit post. Check out the site and maybe you will find something that will catch your attention like I did!

Deluxe Loewe Fashion at Pier No.4

Here comes my second fav event that I have been talking about on my last post.

It's the Loewe fashion show at Pier No.4! It was sure a glamours night for me, since I was sitting across from celebrities such as Amanda S, Jennifer Tse, Michelle Reis, Qiqi and Kam Kwok Leung. The event very special because it combined a handbag exhibition and the SS2012 collection in one night. There were small tables surrounding the runway, so audience had an amazing view of the models stomping down the runway wearing the latest collection.

For the the fashion show, I really like the cut out leather and their leather goods.

Last weeks was packed with tons of events, I want to share 2 of my favorite events and here is one of them:)

Lane Crawford invited designer Oliver Theyskens, who has worked in several major houses, including Tochas, Nina Ricci, and Theory. The event was to celebrate the 2nd season of the critically acclaimed Theyskens’ Theory, an exclusive in-store cocktail at Canton Road Lane Crawford. The store displayed Theyskens making of collection installation videos along with unfinished garment pieces.

The icons of Versace for H&M : Strong Colors, Wild Prints and Glamourous Attitude

For this collection Donatella Versace has gone back to archives to bring some of Versace classics to new audiences. I am a huge fan of brand classics and for this collection Donatella picks iconic dresses for the ladies! The mood of this Ad Campaign is very glamourous and fierce. My favorites are the first 2 images, it shouts Versace glam!

The Ad was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, with Joe Mckenna as stylist. Models include Abbey Lee, Sasha Pivovarova, Linsey Wixon, Daphne Groeneveld and River Viiperi.

Everything will hit store on Nov 17th worldwide, I will be doing a wish list post over the weekend.

DIY sparkly nails

Glitter and sparkly nails are def a comeback this season. By combining different shades of glitter you can personalize it in your own style. Also if your nails are chipped or scartched it's not noticable at all! From my previous post on nail diary 2, I have recieved emails from readers requesting for a tutorial on it. So, I made a tutorial for you all to see:)

1) Pick any 3 sparkle color you like, I personally like to pick 2 similar ones and a contrasting sparkle to give your nails more layers. Here I am using Anna Sui's liliac colors with contrasting blue.

2) Everytime before applying nail polish, make sure you put on a base coat first. It's very important to protect your nails. After, apply the first layer all over your nails for 2 times. This will be your base color.

3) Then start applying the second color of plain glitter, this time apply 3/4 of the nails and repeat 2 times. Eventually you will see gradation of glitter.

4) The most important step is adding the contrasting color sparkles. Make sure its added half way first and then 1/4 of the tip of the nails. Finally add a top coat for a gel finishing effect:)

true beauty of a superstar, Michelle Yeoh

Recalling my hectic days of non stop calling and emailing the PRs, it was all worth it when I saw Michelle Yeoh's cover shot for TimeOut Hong Kong. She was wearing Lanvin's dress with Van Cleef Apres jewelries.

I still remember when she stepped into the studio that day, I was super nervous and excited at the same time. I have to admit I had start struck! During the shoot the vibe was amazing, Michelle Yeoh was so charming and totally rocked it. Her graceful poses on camera made me realize the true difference of a celebrity and a model. Her beauty from inside out totally inspired me. She is the most down to earth and stunning celebrity I have ever met, it made me felt sooooo great. This experience in assisting the shoot was priceless and I learned so much too!

Stay pretty inside out :)

Have you ever wondered why Hermes scarves are so expensive? I have the answer in this post:)

Hermes's scarves is the world’s foremost seller of high quality silk scarves. After understanding the whole process of the making of, I was so fascinated by all the steps. I learnt how to appreciate the time and craftsmanship of each scarf, it's almost like a painting!

To make everything short and simple I have divided the process intro 7 steps:

Step 1: Design - every Hermes scarf is a story, therefore the design and research must be fine-tuned, it takes 6 months to a year

Step 2: Engraving - after the design is finalizes, the layout is ready to be engraved

Step 3: Color selection- there are more than 75,000 colors, after selected different combination of colors it is sent to Paris for inspection

Step 4: Printing - the Brazilian silk is spread out on heated tables which is 150 meters long and ready for printing. Each color needs to be printed separately and hour of drying time

Step 5: Finishing - scarves go through a grooming process and for various scarves there maybe addition handcraft texture or embroidery

Step 6: Hem-stitching - hems are rolled and stitched by hand

Step 7: Final inspection - another QC for last time and then wrapped in the signature orange box

A night with beautiful models in 16 pieces of rare and important luxury time pieces. The highlight of the night was the chairty auction of Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Roue Carree Seconde Black Gold Limited Edition. It's the ONLY ONE in the world and plus its for charity! How meaningful and wonderful is that?

My outfit for the night was a simple floral sheer dress. I rushed from work with my huge bag :P

Last week Juicy Couture's event was filled with girlies and style! Tons of Juicy lovers gathered with their buddies to pick out their favs from the fall collection and enjoyed an exclusive price for it.

Here is my second post on nail diary.

I love my own DIY blue and gold sparkles. It's super easy and a non messy way to style up your nails. This month's nail were mostly shades of red, blue and gold. I am starting to brainstorm on my autumn nails, I can't wait to try all the dark and mysterious colors. A lot of friends have ask if my nails were gel nails. It's not! Try Revlon's quick dry top coat, it will instantly make your nails shinny like gel nails:D

The weather has finally cooled down and autumn is here!

This autumn is definitely a colorful one , with new winter shades that will brighten you up.

My first hit, is this amazing ZARA coat. I love the "Lagoon"color and the modern off shoulder silhouette. To give the outfit a better contrast, I added a" mustard yellow" skirt for a perfect combo.

Have fun with colors and play around different shades this autumn.

Tips on wearing off shoulder coats: Remember to fold your sleeve if you have short arms and let some wrist show. Also find your right size, don't go for sizes that don't fit you or else you will look sloppy!

After a long day from work, my friend and I went to check out a scent that will make us happy. Chatting about our day at work with Moet Rose Champagne was definitely a bubbly fruity hour for us and the ladies that were at the shop. I thought the scent was absolutely wonderful, I love mild strawberry jasmine scent with a bit of rose highlight.

I am always in search for interesting and stylish shops for my wardrobe.

The brand's concept is to understand that women aspire to live a busy and active life, yet still retaining to be stylish and fashionable.

As I walked in the shop, I saw marine essence of visual displays giving me a relax escape from the hectic city we live in. Vintage treasure chests and unique arrangements made my shopping experience become a little adventure. I can't wait further openings at Central and Kowloon!

This brand has brought my attention, for it's signature essentials. Which includes cotton, linens and silk more neutral tones with highlights of burst colors. Also their accessories gives a cool vibe to the outfits, I like how their mixed material necklace and bracelet makes a strong statement.

MUGLER in you?

Ten minutes of Mugler's fashion show with smokes blasting from the runway and Lady Gaga's "born this way"song, got me thinking if I could be extravaganza, bold and daring?

Nicola Formichetti's debut of womenswear collection was quiet amazing, still having the Mugler's signature structure. The structure of the clothes were strong and seductive with tight sheer like second skin , I would ask myself how would I ever pull that off if I didn't have the guts like Lady Gaga?

The highest peak of the night was Zombie Boy aka Rick Genest's finale walk.
